Unique model for sale of the last production of Explorer II 16570 NOS Calibre 3186, RRR, sold in France in April 2019 with a 5 years Rolex warranty.

The Rolex Explorer II, reference 16570 was launched by Rolex in 1989.

The first production was using the Caliber 3185.

The reference ended in 2011 and the last production was using the Caliber 3186.

Those production have also the engraved “ROLEX ROLEX ROLEX” rehaut. This was a new design tactic employed by Rolex to throw off counterfeiters.

The white dial is the most interesting because it has black outlines surrounding the round hour-markers rather than the more traditional white gold ones.

Against the white dial, it’s a striking look indeed and one that defines the “Polar” (white dial) versions of the Explorer II.
