Exceptional "full set" Rolex Explorer II manufactured in 1973 with original punch paper. The was was delivered to the customer in 1976.
The Italians call it "Freccione", contraction of "Freccia" (arrow in Italian) and "Arrancione" (orange in Italian).

The steel bezel is therefore fixed and the orange needle makes a dial in 24 hours.
The characteristic of the first generations manufactured until 1973 is the seconds hand which is straight and the orange needle which is very luminous.
The following versions from 1974 will have the seconds hand with an extra white circle.
On the model proposed for sale with original boxes and papers, the type 2 dial (center of the Rolex crown enlarged) is perfect and corresponds to the productions dating from 1973 to 1978.
The number of the calendar disc have numbers 6 and 9 open.
The type 2 bezel in perfect condition also corresponds to the original model.
The folded steel bracelet, reference 7836 with fasteners n ° 380 is original and conform.
The case is like new, thick and sharp. The bevels are pointed and it has perfectly defined chamfers. There is an attractive satin finish, which is characteristic of ROLEX.
This first series is meeting the particular requirements of today’s collector, especially knowing thaht the Explorer II did not had a great success during its 14 years of marketing.
So much the better for us, its value will increase faster.
