With the 3700, the 3712 is the grail of enlightened collectors.

For 40 years, the Nautilus has been dreaming passionate.

The "JUMBO" was presented in 1976.

At first, its imposing size and its price, the most expensive on the market for a steel watch shocked the spirits.

Designed by Gerald GENTA to compete with Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak, which he himself had created in 1972, his decidedly sporty character eventually became his legend.

After about 5000 pieces of the 3700 manufactured, the 3712 was retailed in 2005 for about 18 months. Less than 900 watches were made, 250 of the first series with 3 red dots for the power reserve, then the balance with the 4 red dots.

His interest remains the complications present in the movement, a power reserve, a moon phase with indication of the day in the dial and a specific dial for the display of seconds.

It was replaced by the reference 5712, produced in large quantities from October 2006, when Patek Philippe decided to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus by presenting 4 new models, the 5980, the 5711 and the 5800.

It is therefore useless to make the article of the model proposed for sale, a first serie made in September 2005 by Patek Philippe and delivered "full set" to an Australian customer on January 5, 2006.
