The 3700 in steel, the grail of enlightened collectors.

For 40 years, the Nautilus has been making enthusiasts dream.

The "JUMBO", with its 42 X 44 mm was presented in 1976.

At first, its imposing size and its price, the most expensive on the market for a steel watch, shocked people.

Designed by Gerald GENTA to compete with the Royal Oak from Audemars Piguet which he himself had created in 1972, its resolutely sporty character ended up making it its legend.

The movement is a very flat caliber 28-255 C which allows the watch to be 7.8 mm thick and to perfectly fit the curve of the wrist.

Manufactured from 1976 by FAVRE-PERRET with the reference 3700, Patek Philippe is taking back the production with the new reference 3700 from 1980.

The bracelet of the 3700-11JA is 16 mm at the clasp instead of 18 mm for the 3700-1A. The difference is made from the 4th link.

About 7000 Nautilus 3700, all materials combined, were manufactured until 1998.

It is therefore useless to make the article of the model offered for sale, delivered with its extract from the registers and its burgundy leather box.

The darling of auctions, prices are soaring but it remains a risk-free investment.
