The reference 3940 was launched in 1984 with the “Beyer” series.

Then from 1985 for the first series.

Initially, this model was only available in yellow gold with very few parts in other materials.

Then came the second series from 1988 to 1998 with 3500 pieces with the famous caliber 240-Q with micro-rotor. Only 560 examples were made in white gold.

This caliber remains one of the most beautiful calibers of the house with a very innovative perpetual calendar for the time.

This has enabled the 3940 to become the world's absolute reference in terms of perpetual calendar.

This elegant 36 mm case, perfectly balanced and timelessly elegant, features an opaline silver dial, white gold "shell" indexes, dauphine hands, center seconds, three subsidiary dials for the day and 24 hour display. hours, month combined with leap year, date combined with moon phases.

The case has a sapphire crystal back and an additional white gold back and the strap has a Patek Philippe ardillon buckle in 18 kt white gold.
