On June 26, 1801, Abraham-Louis BREGUET filed a patent for a new type of regulator, called Tourbillon.
Designed to compensate for walking distances resulting from changes in the position of the watch, a movable round cage encloses the spiral balance and the escapement.
This cage turns on itself with perfect regularity and the gaps in walking thus cancel each other instead of adding up.
The model 3657 has a manual winding movement entirely engraved by hand that can be admired through a transparent sapphire crystal caseback.
On the hand guilloché dial, the tourbillon is placed at 6 o'clock, the power reserve of 55 hours is at 9 o'clock and the indicator of 24 hours at 3 o'clock. A separate dial at 12 o'clock indicates the hours and minutes.
Breguet blued steel hands blend perfectly with the set.
The platinum case, 39 mm in diameter and waterproof at 30 meters, is finely fluted and its thickness is 10.25 mm.
235 components form this time guard equipped with the 560 T caliber.
The 3657 Tourbillon is characteristic of the classic watches of the Breguet house. The purity of the shapes, the harmony of proportions and the sobriety of the dials make this watch from 2006 a safe purchase, especially since it is sold complete with its certificate of origin, box and outer box.
